Dear Friend,

Oh No !! Its me again, Rob Wezwick asking for help. The help that is needed is money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training (TNT), the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help fight blood related disorders. What is leukemia? Leukemia is a cancer of the white blood cells. And Lymphoma is a general term for a group of cancers that originate in the lymphatic system.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:

* Leukemia and its blood related cancers strike some 107,900 Americans each year and kill 60,500.
* Leukemia is the # 1 cause of death in children between the ages of 1-15.
That is the bad news.

* The GOOD NEWS is that the survival rate has risen from 4% in 1960 to 81% in the last decade

I have joined TNT again and have committed to ride my bike another century (100 Miles) at the June 2nd, 2002 program that will be held in Lake Tahoe. My commitment to TNT is that I will raise at least (CORRECTION AT LEAST $3,500.00) in donations in which a minimum of 75% will go back into the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Research and Program Services fund with the remainder going to Supporting Services. There were many doubters last year that I would make and complete the one day ride, well I did and the North Texas Group raised over 4 million Dollars in paid donations. EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS !!

As an added incentive for me to train and complete the century again, I will be riding for three honored heroes from the Dallas Area. They are all children (James, Britanee and Cojo) who have battled Leukemia and are winning. I am also riding in honor of two of my family members that were lost to Leukemia and Lymphoma.

In order for me to raise this amount of money, I am counting on you, my friends and family to donate on my behalf. And for those who are wondering, yes last year I spent over $300.00, gave blood (literally by donating platelets) made and sold cookies and also donated time. This is just to show that I believe in the work being done and support it with my wallet. I would be overjoyed if everyone could match that amount. It would make my fund raising infinitely easier. But realistically, I know that few people can. Perhaps 50 cents a mile may be more suitable. A total of $50.00 is dinner for two at a nice restaurant. But, once again¡K EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS !!

We do need your help. Any amount you can donate is truly appreciated. I am also tasked to collect the donations and forward in stages back to TNT. In order for me to do that, please use the envelope provided, and mail back to me by April 15th. You should also fill out the donor form in order to track your tax deduction for 2002.

One last request, ask your company if they match donations, many do and that will help us meet our goal. Also tell your friends about this. They probably know someone who has been touched by the effects of Leukemia and/or Lymphoma. This is a way for them to help others.

Much has been done, however, there still is a long way to go, 100 miles is a start! We have a team saying that we shout before every team ride, GO TEAM TEAXS Dig Deep! That is to remind us that it may be tough training every week, but for the Honored Heroes, they dig deep every day. Maybe we can also remember this when you decide to donate. DIG DEEP!

If you are unable to contribute financially at this time, I ask that you keep me & all involved with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in your prayers. That too will make a difference.

Thanks very much,
